This book is about a son of Poseidon who defends Mount Olympus over Manhattan from the Titan Lord Kronnos. Kronnos has taken over the body of Luke Castellan, an old enemy of Percy. The gods are busy fighting Typhon. He was unleashed from sleep in the Mount St. Helens. Percy wasn't the child of the prophecy. Luke was the one who chose not to destroy, but save Mount Olympus.
